It has been said that if hockey is Canada’s game, its science is stem cells. James Till and Ernest McCulloch discovered Stem Cells here over 50 years ago. Thanks to them, and the dozens of groundbreaking contributions made in Canada since then, we are moving ever closer to cures never before imagined.
Making that happen – transforming research breakthroughs into new treatments – will take time and effort. It calls for the support of all Canadians, their leaders and institutions.
Stem cell science has the power to transform what we know and how we cope with debilitating conditions and diseases. The mission of the Canadian Stem Cell Foundation is to champion the importance of stem cell research in Canada for the health and happiness of all.
